Tell please where I can find dancing deckpersons in latex survival chaps? Is this sold by Grundens?
well, as YOU thought of the highly-ventilated chaps in the first place, why don’t you pitch the product around? we can hold auditions later.
if i was hoping to see anything better than these dwgs–which i saw first thing i stumbled out of bed today–then i might as well just tumble back into bed because this is the BEST.
Oh YEAH, baby!
So fine!
Damn they are fine! My eyes go to the peacock feathers…I’d roll with the DD’s (dancing deckhands) but there’s too much mooning going on for my taste.
Not that there’s anything wrong with that…
Hi,
I’m a writer working on a project and I have some questions about oil tankers and New York Harbor. I found your blog in a Google search. If you or someone you know are willing to help me develop a particular scene with sufficient realism, I’d be very grateful.
You can reach me via ian@ianthealy.com.
Thanks!
HMMM, Did we really need to see the frolicking deckhands?
Love the Bohemia!
so puzzling: guys aren’t digging the dancing deckhands, and no one’s even inquired about the next auditions. I thought revealing outfits sell.
bowsprite, do not be so presumptuous! my boys tugster and nigel have been training all day! they’re plumb wrung out now though, as they’ve been swinging round the brass pole (we fashioned one of a spent tailshaft and all). and trust me dearest bowsprite, my boy’s got the moves! their grundens foulies er all so worn thru there’ll be cleavage showing out and back and peekaboo out the front, if you catch my drift. we just need you to keep on drawing these suggestive dwgs and global warming will make the sixth boro just boil! so, stop the presumptions and get the drawing gagumptions!
Alice! you the agent? good. Gravel not doing it for you these days?
No pole: trapeze, alter the act accordingly. NO peekaboo in the front; we’re having a hard time selling the current show as it is.
Those chaps certainly are ventilated.
But why the American flag? Isn’t she owned by Sheikh Mabouti ?
omg. ODocker, i cannot believe i am going to admit this, but several of us googled Sheikh Mabouti, which turned up nothing. And it never dawned on the few of us until Tugster said just this morning: “I tried to google ‘Sheik Mabouti'” and the lightbulb turned on for him. I still did not get it until he took the anchor and banged it over my head: get it? SHEIKH MABOUTI! say it!
I am still laughing.
You know English is not my native language and I still have a hard time with technical terms. So when I saw “pimp my ship” I was not sure what it meant – some type of technical maneuver maybe. The only definition I found was “a kick ass drawing” oh la la! then I saw your bottom drawing with the guys showing their derrières – sure enough it can be called a kick ass drawing! Love it!
Chére Vagabonde! merci millefois. There is much I do not understand in English, myself. I call it Native Tongue as a second language.
[…] Inspired by gCaptain’s re-post of 59°56′N’s Pimp My Ship, Bowsprite has created a true Maritime Nightmare, crewed by dancers wearing Grunden’s survival chaps. MORE » […]
nope. flag is there because the sheikh’s interests have been bought out by the contract demolition & steel erection company run by the hugh jorgens group.
Zappa fans would have recognized Sheik Mabouti right off.

Oh My Gosh….you have me dancing in the isles. If I still had a boat, I’d be painting madly right now. Thank you.
[…] And this returns us to Royal Argosy. Notice what feeds into the forward stack . . . or rather, what does not feed into it. It’s a faux-funnel, a mild form of amelioration. […]
