creepy!

what? I cannot stalk on AIS without being stalked by googleAds?

just curious: does anyone else who uses marinetraffic (brought to you FREE by the University of the Aegean! Ευχαριστώ! Ευχαριστώ!) get ads making you wonder if your male chief mate or male bosun is cheating on you? do any of you get ‘is SHE cheating on you’ ads? two weeks crammed together on a noisy boat, and do we need THIS to add to the tension that dishes in the sink and the annoying TV shows already create? have these adRobots no heart???

“I do not stalk. I monitor”.

Last time I went stalking for my husband’s boat I got “Best Cafe in Times Square” ads. Maybe they think we should go out on more dates?? 😉

Adblock Plus will prevent the ads.

With it turned off, I get ads for GPS stuff. I must look lost.

My cat would never cheat. Oh, he looks, but that’s as far as it goes!
    Who /doesn’t/ use marinetraffic AIS?
    Love the loop-the-loop Galveston made.

What interesting opportunities AIS offers: yacht shares, partner’s keeping track, employers, keeping track….

EMPLOYER: You say you were off sick?

    EMPLOYEE: Yes, terrible flu (cough)

EMPLOYER: Then how come according to AIS your yacht was out all day?

    EMPLOYEE: Oh, ah 😦

Ya know, I must be blind as well as old. I never noticed the ads. Gee,

I am most appreciative of your photographic efforts, in PJ’s, of the Ambroses return.

Yeah, it’s creepy. I use Adblock plus. Is it better to stalk or to monitor, that is the question :).

I get GPS equipment ads too … go figure.

I might have a cutterdredger for sale.

    • bowsprite said, on 2012/03/06 at 17:11

i’m sure it sucks, but alas, it’s not US flagged, probably…

  12. seacaptain said, on 2012/03/06 at 19:06

Ooooh, we won’t start on the Jones Act here, this is hardly the place…

  13. seacaptain said, on 2012/03/06 at 19:09

It’s easier to find the Holy Grail, than to find a U.S. flagged dredger for sale.

    • bowsprite said, on 2012/03/06 at 23:45

I suppose if you have a chief mate and a bosun, you don’t rely on marinetraffic.com.
Salût to Soo Lox!!! we’ll look for photos to parallel Will’s Panama ones!

To admire or to stalk is a question
    That turns on one’s predilection.
    If a lass happens by,
Do we give her the eye,
Or set off in that direction?
